A. Hakh & Sons was established in 1924. Its founder Abdul Hakh was a pioneer of the rice industry. With his character of humbleness, integrity and a vision of setting standards within the industry, A. Hakh & Sons began to grow from strength to strength.

A. Hakh & Sons bought its second mill in 1966. This was a one ton mill that performed admirably at the time. By the end of the 20th century, the company decided to invest in mordern equipment inorder to be competitve in the world market. In 1988 the company purchased a ten ton Satake mill from Japan and in 1994 the dyring system was completely overhauled with new equipment from Brazil. This led to huge increases in productivity, efficiency, profits and above all, the most advanced rice milling facility in Guyana.

With over 75 years of experience and inspiration from its founder, A Hakh & Sons continues to be the leading rice complex in Guyana. Through hardwork, dedication and teamwork, we
